Welcome to the Caloundra Chorale & Theatre Company

In response to the current biosecurity state of emergency, the Committee of Caloundra Chorale and Theatre Company has been forced to consider their social responsibility to their members and patrons. Given the advice issued by the Federal Government and, with special consideration to the age of our members and patrons, the follow measures will be implemented immediately.

While we are very sad that these steps are necessary and that we will not be able to celebrate our 50th Year as we had hoped and intended, we are confident that this is the best decision for the health and safety and wellbeing of our members and patrons. We can turn 50 in 2021!

  1. All Caloundra Chorale and Theatre Company rehearsals to cease immediately.
  2. The AGM on Tuesday 24 March to be postponed.
  3. The Show Biz Kids event on Thursday 26 March to be postponed.
  4. The Choir Easter Concert from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 April to be postponed.
  5. The Choir will not attend the Queensland Eisteddfod in Maryborough.
  6. The PSAs on Sunday June 7, Sunday 5 July, Sunday 2 August, Sunday 6 September and Sunday 4 October to be cancelled.

All other events will be considered at a later date. Please check this website for future updates.

CCTC Committee

The Caloundra Chorale and Theatre Company is a Sunshine Coast Performance Group producing all aspects of live theatre; musicals, drama, comedy, youth theatre, concerts and choral works.

New members are always welcome at the Chorale. Chorale practice is on every Thursday night at 7pm in the CCTC Theatre at Wurtulla. Ring Annette on (07) 5491 4937 for further information.

This group uses a workshop focus format to produce ensemble theatre projects with students aged between 12 and 16 years. The community theatre ethos is about facilitating a person’s experience to develop strategies in working with others towards a creative outcome. This program is designed to build skills and immerse the learner in the dramatic arts and technologies. Overall outcomes for students are more often about having fun developing social skills, building self-confidence, improving communication and listening skills in a safe and stimulating environment. If you have a passion for drama and you are interested in challenging your skills please contact Elizabeth Robins on 5479 6086 to enrol.

Come and join this group of young Thespians aimed at ages 5 to 13 years of age. They meet on Thursday afternoons from 3.30pm to 5pm at our Theatre. Our experienced tutors cater for young people of all grades and experience levels. An exciting programme is planned throughout the year, excluding school holidays. For more information please ring Margaret or Elizabeth on 5479 6086.
